Tequin Lawsuit

Tequin, manufactured by Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS), is an antibiotic used to eliminate bacteria that cause infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and sexually transmitted diseases, sinus, urinary tract, kidney, respiratory tract, and skin infections.

Tequin has been known to cause serious cases of low blood sugar, high blood sugar, heart attack, stroke, irregular heartbeats, liver damage, seizures, unusual bleeding, and even death. In February of 2006, the FDA added a warning to Tequin in order to inform patients and doctors of the serious blood sugar risks. Tequin has been linked to 388 cases of low and high blood sugar in the United States.

According to the consumer interest group Public Citizen, 159 patients have required hospitalization and 20 people have died due to serious Tequin® blood glucose abnormalities. As a result of this information, Tequin has stopped producing the drug but the drug is still present in hospitals and pharmacies.

Tequin lawsuits have been filed against the manufacturer for insufficient labeling of Tequin and the serious side effects associated with its use. It is vital for a Tequin lawsuit to be handled by an experienced Pharmaceutical litigation attorney. They can provide legal representation and expert advice to ensure that you or a loved one's rights are protected.
